Day 71 - September 23, 2008

Fuel pump was rebuilt.

Day 72 - September 24, 2008

Anti-sway bar end link mounts were fabricated and installed. Paula worked on seat cover and seat belts.

Day 73 - September 25, 2008

Andy and Paula mounted the autocross tires.

Day 74 - September 26, 2008

Paula painted the sunroof. Andy made autocross shims to adjust front end caster and camber. Andy and Calvin adjusted the toe setting.

Day 75 - September 27, 2008

Rockers were adjusted. Plugs were replaced. Front end was greaced. Paula replaced horn. Calvin changed wiring to the horn. Dave sprayed flames. Jason polished engine bay panels.

Day 76 - September 28, 2008

Dave highlighted flames. Ben Snyder came over and Snyder Performance stickers were stuck to car. Underhood filler panels were installed. Hood was attached.

Day 77 - September 29, 2008

Battery was charged. Fuel pressure was rechecked. Car was cleaned. Sections were cut out of front fenders. Car was tied down to trailer and tools were loaded up.

This car was built for the $2008 Grassroots Motorsports Challenge.  The basic rules of this race are to build a car for $2008.  The car must compete in an auto-cross, drag race and a concourse.  See the rules on the Grassroots Motorsports web site.  The event was held at the Gainesville Dragway in Florida on October 3-4, 2008. We have $1,986.32 in the Bug.
